Darsul Qur’an (Lessons from the Qur’an & Ahadeeth)

This weekly programme is delivered our respected Mawlana Muhammad Patel sahib and has been running for the past 25 years. Verses of the Qur’aan along with relevant Ahadeeth are explained and lessons taken out for the audience to benefit and use in everyday life.
Tazkiyah (Self-Rectification) Programme
Day: Sundays | Time: After Dhuhr Prayer
The Self-Rectification programme is delivered by Mawlana Muhammad Patel sahib in both Urdu and English. Mawlana Muhammad Patel sahib takes benefit from the advices and lessons passed on by our pious predecessors including Hakimul Ummah, Shaykh Mawlana Ashraf Ali Thanwi (rahmatullahi alayh), Masihul Ummah, Shaykh Mawlana Masihullah Khan (rahmatullahi alayh) and Shafiqul Ummah, Shaykh Mawlana Muhammad Farooq (rahmatullahi alayh).
Tahfeezul Qur’an (Memorisation of the Qur’an)
Day: Monday to Friday | Time: 4.15pm-6.30pm | Age: 6+
The Qur’an memorisation class, which runs under the name Madrasah Maseehul Qur’an, caters for young children and takes place every weekday. Students begin from building their confidence and ability to recite, using Ahsanul Qawaid and progress on to the memorisation of Juz Amma. Thereafter, students are given the opportunity to fully memorise the whole Qur’an starting with the first Juz. Alhamdulillah up to now, students of the madrasah have memorised half of the Qur’an.
Adult Qur’an Memorisation and Tajwid Class
Day: Monday to Friday | Time: 8.15pm-10pm | Age: 16+
The brothers Qur’an Memorisation and Tajwid Class aims to develop and improve our recitation of the Holy Qur’an. Whether a person is a complete beginner and needs to start from scratch or someone who has learnt in the past but wants to correct their pronounciation of the Arabic letters, this is suitable for all Adults. Students learn the correct Articulation points of the Arabic letters, Qualities of the letters, recite and be corrected one-to-one and have the opportunity to memorise Juz Amma starting with Surah Fatihah and Surah Nas and progress on to memorising the Qur’an further.
A quarterly programme will take place primarily aimed at tackling the issues surrounding the Youth of today. These will take place approximately in March, June, September and December. The exact dates will be advertised on this website once confirmed.
